These words speak volumes. I may spread a lot of stuff... my thoughts, my opinions, my desires. I always seek to spread joy, love, kindness, peace. But according this verse, there is nothing more important that I can spread than the Word of God. Because wherever it goes, the Lord will make it prosper, and He will accomplish His will. When I spread the Word of God, I'm playing a part in His greater work here on this earth.
My words fall flat. My words are empty. My words have no eternal value... that is, until my word becomes His Word. When I speak about truth, eternity, Jesus, hope, life, love... when I tell of the goodness of God, eternal salvation through Jesus, and the redemptive purposes of God, then I help to accomplish His will, His purposes. So, I'm making a decision right here... I will be more passionate in spreading God's Word than anything else. How about you?
