When my kids were growing up, I often felt like a broken record. Don’t touch that. Don’t do that. Share your toys. What do you say? Well, as I’ve gotten older, I still feel like a broken record sometimes. And one thing I repeat again and again - and I will keep repeating it until I leave this earth - is that JESUS HAS ALL THE ANSWERS. You may think.. it’s not that simple. Oh yes, it is. Jesus DOES have all the answers.
The story of the woman who stopped the commotion of the crowd at a simple touch of Jesus’ robe pulls at my heartstrings. I love this story. She had been sick for 12 years. That’s a long time. She was alone, alienated from her family and friends because she was considered unclean. She had used all her money on doctors. She had no strength left. She must have felt abandoned, isolated, unnoticed, and filled with despair. But she just knew. SHE JUST KNEW… Jesus could help her. And when she heard He was nearby, she mustered all her strength and plowed through that crowd and touched His robe. Immediately she was healed. Imagine that!
Jesus has what you’re looking for. All the wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him. All power belongs to Him. He holds ALL confidence, security, assurance, hope, courage, boldness. HE holds it all… not your spouse, your pastor, your friends, your counselor. Not that they can’t help you and offer you something, but Jesus is the only One who can give you EVERYTHING. If you want freedom, your chains broken off, or help for today, JESUS is the answer.
But here’s the thing… Satan does not want you free. He wants you stuck, chained up, struggling with doubt, and broken. So, he will put roadblocks in your way, distractions. He is a stumbling block, a liar. And he will go to unbelievable measures to keep you from Jesus. The crowds and her own shame were roadblocks for this woman. But she did not let that stop her. She ran to Jesus. And at a simple touch of His robe, 12 years of misery was gone. Wiped away. She was set free.
Let me say it again… JESUS HAS ALL THE ANSWERS. You may have to move some obstacles out of the way, but you CAN get there. Don’t let Satan win. Jesus will make a way if you want to get to Him. Let Jesus be your answer today.
