Solid Truth Ministries is based on this verse in 2 Timothy. We are all about explaining the Word of Truth so that people can understand it, know
it, live by it, and be kept from deception. Since we have a new website, I thought I would change the logo. I showed several designs to Betsy and Lou. They were like, "I don't know. Not really liking it." Then Betsy said, "Mom, let's look at your current logo again." When I pulled it up, she's like, "Why would you want to change that?" In other words, Mom, it speaks of who you are and when people see it, they recognize your mission and your purpose. And it's beautiful.
I thought about this logo... how it represents this ministry and the Kingdom of God. The colors: purple (royalty); red (the blood of Jesus); yellow (the light of Christ). The words: Solid (unbreakable); Truth (what everyone needs in this day of great deception). The symbols: the cross (the cross is our foundation). So, I guess this logo will be here till the end.
Did you know that you and I are logos for the Kingdom of God? We are image bearers. When people see us, they NEED to see Jesus. We represent the highest Kingdom... a Kingdom not of this world. A Kingdom where Jesus is seated at the right hand of His Father. So, what does this mean?
It means that I am slow to anger but abounding in love. I'm kind, compassionate, patient, filled with mercy. I am faithful in my dealings with people and with God. I walk with integrity, being honest in everything. I genuinely care about people. And here's a hard one... when I mess up (and I will), I will admit my failure, apologize, and ask for forgiveness. We are to emulate Jesus. When people are in our presence, they need to see Jesus, even if they don't know what they're looking at. They may only recognize that there is something different about you. But this may take them on a quest to find out more.
Today, let's be the best image bearers we can be. Let people see Jesus in you. Hope this encourages you today.
