Sometimes it's hard to see the good things in our life when there's so much bad. But if we look hard enough and long enough, each of us could fill up a hundred notebooks with the good things that have come our way. God isn't just a God who sits on His throne governing the affairs of people and nations, or a God who passes judgment, or a God who is really busy. Yes, He is those things, but here's the thing... He is a God who loves His people so much that He always showers them with gifts. In fact, these words from this verse remind us that ALL the good things in our life are gifts from the Lord. Imagine that?

It's easy to focus on the bad, but let's take time to thank God for the good things in our life. I'll start and you write down your list...

God has given me...
His gift of salvation (the most important gift of all)
His Word that guides me every day
His mind to discern good from evil
A husband who loves me
A beautiful family
Freedoms (in Christ and in this country)
A church body
Friends who inspire me to walk stronger
Blessings galore
Hope for today and hope for tomorrow
A home waiting for me in heaven
A beautiful home in the mountains and a wonderful condo at the beach.

I could go on and on, but now it's your turn. We will rejoice with you as you tell us of the incredible gifts God has given to you. Hope this assignment blesses you.
