Revelation is a 7-week Bible study that guides us through this book of prophesy. **Weekly discussion questions included.
For many years, John traveled by sea and by land to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ. Through the years, he witnessed God-sized miracles, churches popping up everywhere, excitement and unrest in the body of Christ, and the movement of the Holy Spirit. One by one his fellow disciples died until he was the only one left. Surely, John never thought he would live to be in his 90’s. Something tells me that he was anxiously awaiting the reunion he would have with Jesus, his Lord. But what he didn’t know was that God wasn’t done with him – he still had one more mission. And it was a BIGGIE! Instead of entering glory, he was banished to a small rocky island in the Aegean Sea, Patmos.
John would be the vessel God would use to give us Revelation, the last book of the Bible. And this book is a crucial part of God’s divinely inspired work: a message for the church. A message that carries great weight in the life of the believer. We recognize Revelation as a book of prophesy, but it’s much more than that. It is also a book of warning, instruction, and hope.
